Previous Supervisees Testimonials

“After graduation, I felt very lost and hopeless trying to navigate the (seemingly ever-changing) state requirements. Melissa was such a blessing - so helpful and knowledgeable about the process, which made me feel secure and as if I had a strong advocate in my corner. She offered individual and group supervision, worked with my (new mom, school, and work) schedule, as well as provided supervision materials – offering volumes of relevant supplemental material. When I finally tested, I felt so prepared and supported. I had classmates working with other supervisors in the area, and based on their feedback, I feel that Melissa went above and beyond in her supervisor role in an effort to make us feel empowered, educated, and successful. If you are looking for a LCSW supervisor, you’ll be glad you picked Melissa!”

’Melissa Preece provided supervision to me during a time when I had experienced a lot of personal setbacks in my life. She believed in me when I wasn’t sure I fully believed in myself. The quality of supervision was excellent, and she consistently made sure that a variety of topics were covered. These included considerations in case studies, navigating policies and procedures, concerns with workplace safety, and always while prioritizing ethical guidelines. She was accessible and available to me when I had a question or concern. The supervision and support she provided were more valuable to me than I am able to put into words.  Although some time has passed since obtaining my clinical licensure, I know I can reach out to her as a colleague any time I need supportive feedback or guidance. Meeting Melissa served as a catalyst for me to build a professional path I am truly proud of. I am able to trust my choices as a therapist because of the foundation she helped me establish. The supervision she provided exceeded all expectations I had for the process, and also encouraged me to focus on important details, information, and considerations that were not otherwise on my radar. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work with this incredible human!”

”I began my clinical supervision experience with Melissa in 2021.  When I was trying to find a supervisor, anyone I asked highly recommended Melissa.  When I first spoke with Melissa, she offered to let me sit in with her group supervisees.  From there, I instantly grew a bond with her and I admired her clinical expertise. Since then, she has taught me many things that have helped me advance as a clinician.  Melissa saw potential in me, she encouraged me, as well as challenged me to be better.  I feel more confident in my abilities clinically and ethically after going through supervision with Melissa.  I could not thank her enough for my experience.”
